Grade 3 Students Lead Yoga Event for PLS Families

Grade 3 Students Lead Yoga Event for PLS Families

Inspired by the visionary professional growth goal of Grade 2 Teacher, Betsy Alvord, our Grade 3 students have embarked on a transformative two-year exploration of yoga and mindfulness. On Wednesday, November 13, these young learners showcased their remarkable growth by hosting a Grateful Yoga evening for PLS families.

Empowering Authentic Leadership

Each student stepped into the role of an instructor, guiding families through carefully selected yoga poses with confidence and compassion. While they taught, their peers demonstrated the poses, creating a collaborative and supportive learning environment that highlighted their developing leadership skills.

Mindful Moments

The evening culminated in a powerful, student-led mindful meditation—a testament to the children's growing self-awareness and ability to create moments of collective calm.

This event exemplifies how yoga and mindfulness can nurture not just physical flexibility, but emotional intelligence and community connection. By empowering students in authentic leadership opportunities, we're cultivating a generation of mindful, confident, and compassionate individuals.
