32 Years of Summer

What began over 30 years ago was a summer camp that has entertained, educated, and connected children in a way no other camp could. Summer Arts is celebrating more than three decades of artistic expression, creativity, and fun on the South Shore.

“Derby will always be in my mind and my heart. The 10 years I spent there were the best times of my life. I truly came of age at Derby—Summer Arts is incredibly special.”

Former Camper

"My Summer Arts friends are still my best friends. The people at derby are the most wonderful, inspiring, kind, and fun people I have ever had the pleasure of sharing my life with."

David Charam
Former Camper

"The constant small moments of independence we were granted as very young children encouraged creativity, ownership, and a sense of mutual responsibility. Hard to quantify how valuable those experiences were for fostering the skills and values that make good artists & good people."

Tim Donovan
Former Camper

“The sharing of creative vision that IS Derby is so unlike anywhere else. If you can dream it, you can count on a bunch of great folks that will help you make it become reality!”
