School Libraries
Lower School Library
A welcoming gathering area for the school, our Lower School library features an expansive and dynamic collection of diverse books, iPads with programming and coding apps, multisensory activities, and games and puzzles at rotating discovery centers. Our certified librarian supports classroom learning, helps develop our students' personal interests and love of reading, and emphasizes our social emotional learning curriculum, Open Circle, which is taught in the library as well as in the classroom. Research and database skills are introduced as students learn how to find and access resources that prepare them to become responsible digital citizens.
George S. Terry Library
With an impressive collection of digital and print resources, Middle and Upper School students are able to expand and build on the research skills introduced in the lower grade levels. Our students learn what responsible and safe online behavior entail as they develop their digital citizenship skills.
Proper citation and advanced research skills are enhanced by students utilizing online databases, such as the Gale collection and CultureGrams, to support their classwork. Students also use Sora for easy access to ebooks and audiobooks for classroom use and independent reading. A hub of activity for the Middle and Upper School grades, the Terry Library is a collaborative and welcoming space where reading and writing flourish.
