This unique offering allows our Upper School youths to share their knowledge and expertise with Linden Ponds residents. During this 1 1/2+ hour session, our Derby students will work one-on-one with LP residents, answering any questions related to iPad, iPhones and other devices.
Derby's Winter Tennis Program, for students in Grades 2-5, will be held on Fridays from January 4 – February 15. The program will be "game based" instruction and play, running from approximately 1:45pm –3:00pm at the Cohasset Tennis Club. Students will leave Derby around 1:15pm and have a brief lunch before lessons. Space is limited to 10 new students. COST $250/student (includes lunch)

Hingham Historical Society is excited to announce author Cheryl Barnes will be presenting stories from her children’s books on Saturday February 9th at 10:00 am on the first floor of the Hingham Heritage Museum at Old Derby. Cheryl’s reading and books signing kicks off Hingham Historical Society’s inaugural Family History Festival. Cheryl’s stories center around people and pets who have occupied The White House and are intended to help elementary school children get a simple understanding of how our government works. Cheryl will use stuffed animals in her story telling so younger children will also enjoy the presentation.
Derby will be at the QARI Lunar New Year Festivalon Sunday, February 10 at North Quincy High School. Enjoy a day of music, food, and fun activities during this free community event.
Sponsored by the American Heart Association, Derby's annual Hoops for Hearts b-ball tournament is always a great time! Registration cost is $5.00 (please see Lauren Brooks or Chris Travis for forms and additional info) Tournament format is 3-on-3 / double elimination. Teams will be assigned by Ms. Brooks & Mr. Travis Donations to the AHA in any amount are gratefully accepted (we hope to fill our halls with Hearts!) We hope to see you there!
