In the spring of 2014, Derby proudly opened the doors of our new Healey Family Center for Innovation.  The open, flexible work space enables faculty and students to gather in large and small groups, to utlize cutting-edge technology and to create  large-scale projects that can remain set up for ongoing iterations.

The Healey Family Center for Innovation is a hub of learning on the campus at Derby Academy. It provides richly equipped space for critical thinking, creative production and analytical experiences that integrate with studies and enhance classroom activities at all grade levels. The Center supplies resources and facilities that help students push their imaginations, explore different ways of solving problems, and embrace experimental failure as a valuable part of learning. Collaborative thinking, design and creation for an interconnected world are the heart of the Center's mission.
