    D-Team Community Service: Linen Ponds Device Training (Grades 6-8)

    This unique offering allows our Upper School youths to share their knowledge and expertise with Linden Ponds residents. During this 1 1/2+ hour session, our Derby students will work one-on-one with LP residents, answering any questions related to iPad, iPhones and other devices.

    Winter Tennis for Grades 2-5

    Derby's Winter Tennis Program, for students in Grades 2-5, will be held on Fridays from January 4 – February 15. The program will be "game based" instruction and play, running from approximately 1:45pm –3:00pm at the Cohasset Tennis Club. Students will leave Derby around 1:15pm and have a brief lunch before lessons. Space is limited to 10 new students. COST $250/student (includes lunch)

    Grade 4-8 Morning Chess Club

    For students in Grades 4-8

    Make your move and join Mr. Rabuck in the Science Building to learn and practice new strategies - all skill levels welcome!
     
    Where: The Science Building
    First Session Dates: February 12-March 7 (2/12, 2/14, 2/21, 2/26, 2/28, 3/5, 3/7)
    Cost: $70
    *Please note: Participating students will be expected to remain in the Science Building for the 30 minute session.

    Join us to discuss task force groups and the initiatives around the strategic plan. This coffee will be an interactive session intended to solicit feedback from all participants.

    Basketball Clinic

    This 2 hr after school program will be geared towards coaching the fundamental skills of basketball: Fitness, Passing, Shooting, Ball Handling, and Offensive and Defensive skill work. Scrimmaging, 1 on 1 and team practice drills will also be a part of the program to help build confidence and interest in the sport. Participants will be expected to come ready to work and be able to follow instructions.
