The Derby Fund
The Derby Fund enriches each student's Derby experience.
Annual gifts provide critical funds that help make possible our strong academic and social curriculum, financial aid for new and returning students, competitive salaries and professional development opportunities for our dedicated faculty. A strong Annual Fund provides Derby the flexibility and nimbleness to meet specific needs and opportunities as they present themselves.
The Derby Fund makes up 6% of the operating budget. Our goal over the next few years is to grow this to 8%. We are grateful to the donors and volunteers who will help make this happen. Every contribution directly impacts our students and faculty, who are the center of everything we do.
We ask all members of our community to invest in Derby and make a meaningful gift to the Annual Fund.
Last year, 94% of Derby families, 99% of Faculty and Staff, 100% of Trustees and over 300 Alumni/ae made gifts to the Annual Fund.
The Annual Fund has been renamed The Derby Fund. This name change better reflects the goals and purpose of our community's philanthropic support of Derby. The Derby Fund is Better Together. All students benefit when our whole community of alumni, parents, faculty, staff, grandparents, and friends come together to support The Derby Fund.
We see what the Derby experience provides for growing minds. Derby has amazing academics, wonderful athletic opportunities, and extensive curriculum choices, but what really defines Derby is its commitment to “Improve Both Mind and Heart.” When kids are shown that they are respected and valued their potential is limitless…
