Sarah Derby Merit Scholarship
The Sarah Derby Merit Scholarship is a $5,000 to $10,000 award, granted annually to one or two new incoming Grade 4-8 students who live in a local town or city that is currently underrepresented in the Derby community.

Tuition Assistance Application Process
Step 1
What to Know
The Tuition Assistance program is designed to make a Derby education attainable for as many families as possible based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. Derby is proud to use the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application, which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.
Step 2
Getting Started
To get started, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is also mobile-friendly, so you can complete it from anywhere. You are also able to save your progress and return at any time.
Step 3
Submit Application Fee
At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit. Please note that Clarity application fee waivers are automatic if a family qualifies based on income and assets. If you do not qualify for an automatic waiver but the fee presents a financial hardship, please email admission@derbyacademy.org.
Please remember to return to your dashboard after you complete and submit your Clarity Application, as Derby may require you to upload additional tax documentation.
Step 4
Deadlines to Keep in Mind
The deadline for completing the tuition assistance application, including relevant supplemental documents, is January 25 for returning families and February 1 for families applying to Derby.
