Derby Academy is an independent school in Hingham, Massachusetts, for students in grades Pre-K to Grade 8.
For more than 230 years, the balance between mind and heart has been at the core of who we are. At Derby, we celebrate the wonder of childhood and give our students the space to remain children while developing maturity and independence.
We believe that, to prepare our students to become successful and caring community members, we must focus on the mind through academics, innovation, and creativity, and focus on the heart through service, kindness, and character-building.
