|  | Derby Academy believes that all students should acquire the technology skills necessary to thrive in the 21st century. We accomplish this through the integration of technology with grade-level curricula, using computers as powerful learning tools.
Students are introduced to these learning tools in Grade One and continually develop their skills. As new technology is incorporated into the curriculum, students adapt easily and explore confidently. Our program provides students with the opportunities and necessary skills to utilize technology for learning, collaboration and creative expression.
Derby has an ever-expanding technology program that successfully supports the school community. Our two labs are equipped with up-to-date computers, interactive whiteboards, color laser printers, scanners, digital cameras, video cameras, projectors and the most recent software versions. In addition to a computer in every classroom, both our library and science center are equipped with wireless laptops. For their research, community members access a wealth of internet resources via our Derby network.
