Every 18 months, parents of former Derby students are invited back to the school for a Parents Reunion Dinner. In the fall of 2006, the school hosted their first non-student Art Show before the dinner with works by parents of alums, grandparents, current and former faculty members and friends of the school. This fun and lively evening was held on Thursday, November 5, 2009 with a spectacular Art Show. The Exhibit is on display in the Brown Art Gallery from Thursday, November 5 - through Wednesday, November 18, 2009 (Mon-Thurs 8am - 4pm, Fri 8am - 2pm).

The annual Turkey Day Reunion is held at the school for high school alums just before the Thanksgiving break. This year it was held on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 4:00 pm.
Derby will be hosting a reception for alums in and around New York City on Sunday evening, January 24, 2010. Please contact the Alumni/ae Office for more details - sthompson@derbyacademy.org
The annual Alum/Parent Hockey Game has become an early March tradition with alums and parents competing as a Dark or a Light cheered on by fellow alums and families. On Friday evening, March 5, 2010 alums and parents will face off for a thrilling hour of great skating.
During the last week of school, the Alumni/ae Association welcomes Grade 8 students into the association - their life-long connection to the school.
