Birthday Book Program For over 25 years, Derby families have been invited to participate in our unique Birthday Book program. The Birthday Book program encourages families to donate a book to the library to celebrate their child’s birthday. Donations in honor of a teacher or a special occasion are always welcome as well.
A special bookplate commemorating your child’s birthday and a photograph of your child will be placed inside the book you have selected. The birthday child will be given the privilege to be the first to borrow the book.
This is a wonderful opportunity to honor your child with a lasting gift that will help build and strengthen our library collection. If you would like to donate a Birthday Book, please contact Mardie Orshak at morshak@derbyacademy.org or call 781 749-0746 ext. 29 for a list of suggested titles and more information.
