Teaching at Derby

Derby seeks teachers who will support the mission of the school both in the classroom and around campus. An ability to inspire a love of learning and encourage children to embrace academic challenge is essential. It is equally important that adults in the community create and maintain a nurturing environment in which children feel comfortable participating actively in their own learning. Candidates must be well versed in developmentally appropriate practices and have a desire to work collaboratively as a member of a teaching team.

A competitive salary and benefits package includes generous funding of professional development. At least three years of previous teaching experience and a master’s degree is preferred, but teacher certification is not required for consideration. Derby seeks and supports diversity in its faculty.
