Applications for all grade levels, Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8, are now being accepted. For specific details about the application process for a particular grade, contact Chris Brophy in the admission office 781-749-0746 x46 or cbrophy@derbyacademy.org.
Call for an appointment
Tours of the school and parent appointments are scheduled during school days. Tours run for approximately 40 minutes and appointments last for about 30 minutes. Parents of applicants with disabilities, learning or otherwise, are encouraged to identify them so accommodations can be considered.
Application Deadlines
- Pre-Kindergarten applications are accepted on a rolling basis beginning in October.
- The application deadline for Kindergarten through Grade 3 is January 17.
- The deadline for Grades 4-8 is February 1.
- Applications filed after these dates will be considered on a rolling basis.

Please note that those applying to Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Grade 1 must be four, five and six years of age respectively by September 1 of the entering year to be eligible for enrollment.
Upon receipt of your application, the Admission Office will send you additional forms to complete the application process.
File Financial Aid Forms (optional)
Please indicate on the admission application if you will apply for financial aid. Financial aid matters are confidential and only become a factor in the admission process after decisions have been made by the committees. Financial Aid letters will be sent to families of accepted students when admission decisions are announced. Notification Dates
Decisions will be mailed to families as follows:
- Pre-Kindergarten: Rolling basis beginning in October
- Kindergarten - Grade 8: March 10
- After March 10, applicants will be accepted on a rolling basis.
Waiting Lists
Qualified applicants to whom we cannot offer places due to limited space will be put on a waiting list. Should places become available, all active candidates will be considered at that time.
